Hibik Ng Pilipinas Kay Inang Espanya Analysis Essay


Isang pagkukuro sa "Sagot Nang Espanya sa Hibik Ng Filipinas (Pilipinas)" ni Marcelo Hilario del Pilar

Ang tulang “Sagot Nang Espanya sa Hibik Nang Filipinas” ay masasabi nating isang mahabang pagtuligsa sa pang-aabuso ng mga prayle at Kastila sa mga Pilipino noong mga kapanahunan ni Marcelo H. del Pilar. Kilala naman natin si del Pilar bilang isang magaling na abogado, ,manunulat at naging patnugot din siya ng pahayagan ng mga propagandista noon, ang La Solidaridad. At dahil likas sa kanya ang angking talino sa iba’t ibang larangan, naging mahusay siya sa panunudyo o panunuya sa kasamaan ng mga prayle sa Pilipinas.

Ayon sa aking mga pananaliksik, ang “Sagot Nang Espanya sa Hibik Nang Pilipinas” ay isang sarkastikong tugon sa tula ni Herminigildo Flores na may pamagat na “Hibik Nang Pilipinas sa Inang Espanya.” Ang tula ni Flores ay isinulat noong 1888 at nasa wikang Tagalog samantalang ang tula naman ni del Pilar ay isinulat noong 1889 sa Europa. Kung paghahambingin natin ang dalawa, malinaw na ang lalabas na layunin nito ay pag-alabin ang mga damdamin ng mga Pilipino sa pamamagitan ng paghahayag ng mga kwento, impormasyon at komentaryo tungkol sa katiwalian ng mga prayle.

Sa tulang “Sagot ng Espanya sa Hibik ng Pilipinas”, napansin ko na nagsimula si del Pilar sa paraan ng isang mapagpukaw na pagkilala ng “ina” sa “anak.” Sa mga unang bahagi ay madarama ang kalungkutan ng isang ina sa sinsapit ng Pilipinas mula sa mga Prayle. Ipinahiwatig ng ‘buhay ng anak ay bunga niring pagmamahal kaya’t anumang kadustaan na maranasan ay kanya ring kadustaan,’ ang ideya na waring naroroon ang malasakit ng ina at handa ito’ng makinig sa mga hinaing ng kanyang anak.

Bilang isang persona ng Inang Espanya, inilahad naman ni del Pilar ang kasaysayan ng Pilipinas mula taludtod 3-8, ang pagdating ng iba’t ibang lahi ng mga tao mula taludtod 9-10, hanggang sa pananakop ng mga Kastila na ipinalalagay ni del Pilar isang pagtupad sa itinakda ng Diyos sa taludtod 12.

Sa pagpapatuloy ng tula, magkakaroon tayo ng pang-unawa na ang mga Prayle daw ay itinalaga ng Espanya upang maging “taga-tingin” sa mga anak ni “Pilipinas” upang sila ay hindi mapariwara (taludtod 17). Pagsapit natin sa ika-20 taludtod ay mababanggit ng ina ang pag-garote sa tatlong paring Pilipino (Gomez, Burgos at Zamora) at ang marami pang mga pinahirapan na talaga naming binabata ng Pilipinas. Ang tula ay lalong naging matapang sa ika-36 hanggang 58 na mga taludtod. Isinasaad na dito ang mga buhay-prayle at kung paano sila naging hadlang sa Espanya. Sinasabi naman sa ika-68 na taludtod na lalong umigting ang pagdududa sa kapangyarihan ng mga prayle. Sa naging kasaysayan ng ilang bansa sa Europa ay nagbago ang pagtrato ng mga tao sa mga dating modelo ng pagka-makatao. Pagtagal-tagal, ang mga prayle ay binastos ng taong bayan at tuluyan na silang pinalayas. Ang kanilang pagkawala ay nagdulot ng kapayapaan (taludtod 68 at 69).

Sa aking pagkukuro, ipinababatid sa “Sagot ng Espanya” na ang konseptong panlipunan katulad ng kalayaan, kapayapaan at kinabukasan ay nakaatang sa mga anak ni Pilipinas na tunay nagmamalasakit sa kanya,

“Ang lahat mong anak, ginhawa’t dukha man,

mging taga-bukid, maging taga-bayan,

laaki’t babae, pantas man at mangmang

santong matwid mo’y dapat itanghal.(taludtod 78)”
